Schalmeienzug Lauterach

Starting point

The Schalmeienzug Lauterach is a carnival band that plays at parades, balls and festivals. As a member, I wanted to give the club a website that feels as loud and sociable as the band itself – and that the club can keep up to date without any coding: upcoming performances, photos from events and the sponsors who support the club.

What I built

I did the design and development myself. The site runs on WordPress with a custom block theme: colours, fonts and layouts are defined in the theme, while the content is edited directly in the block editor.

It comes with a custom plugin for the club-specific content:

• Events: each event is entered once and automatically appears in the event list and in the "next event" ticker on the home page.
• Gallery: photos from performances and festivals, collected and clearly presented.
• Sponsors: sponsor logos and links managed in one place and shown on the website.

Result

The Schalmeienzug now has a modern website with a large hero, bold typography and the club colours green and black. The club maintains events, gallery and sponsors on its own, without anyone touching the code. Visitors quickly see when the band plays next and can book it for their ball, parade or festival.
